			Middle Passage

Watch a short video extract of a class participating in a museum workshop where the amount of space they have available to move in is gradually reduced. Eventually they are asked to sit down on the floor in extremely cramped conditions. They close their eyes for a minute (and then again but facilitator lets it over run). The facilitator then tells them these were the conditions endured by captives on board the slaving ships for 6-8 weeks, that is half a term.
