Set pupils the project of researching into the history of carnival from the point of view of Trinidad and Tobago. They should prepare a short presentation on one of the following, linking it into West African and European traditions:

• Character
• Costume
• Why carnival developed

This project could be extended out to a class display, performance or collaborative web page.
